Marqués de Murrieta, “official wine” of Spain’s most prestigious golf tournament

The Open de España de Golf, taking place from October 9th to 12th at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, has once again chosen Marqués de Murrieta as the tournament’s official wine.

The wines of Rioja’s pioneering winery (founded in 1852) will accompany the haute cuisine of the VIP areas, catered by the renowned Austrian company Do&Co, recognized worldwide for its presence at the most prestigious international events.

“For us, as a brand, being linked to high-level sport means entering an environment where we share common values: tradition, excellence, and passion for detail. Returning to the Open de España de Golf is a true joy, as we feel at home here. Today, Marqués de Murrieta is present in more than 100 countries and is part of top-level sporting tournaments, strengthening the image of Spain as a country associated with excellence across the globe,” highlights Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, president of the winery.

“This collaboration also allows us to reach new audiences who discover in Marqués de Murrieta not only a wine of exceptional quality, but also a lifestyle. It is an initiative that further reinforces our image as a brand with soul and international projection,” he adds.

Marqués de Murrieta continues to expand its presence in the world of sport and high-level lifestyle, taking part in exclusive events of gastronomy, art, fashion, and sports. Next year, coinciding with the winery’s 175th anniversary, Marqués de Murrieta will unveil new projects linking the brand with both sport and luxury.
