Marqués de Murrieta is hosting an exclusive auction featuring a selection of artworks created on its wine cases. This collection, inspired by the world of tennis and created by artist Diego Morcillo, has a charitable purpose: to support cancer research through the CRIS Foundation.
The auction will be held virtually, and bids for each of these works can be placed via the website: https://info-marquesdemurrieta.com/
Mutua Madrid Open
Created by Diego Morcillo, an artist from Extremadura whose work revolves around the universe of sports, these pieces were painted during the Mutua Madrid Open tennis tournament. Marqués de Murrieta has proudly served as the official winery of the tournament for over a decade.
Art for Another Chance
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to cancer research projects, thanks to the winery’s collaboration with the CRIS Foundation.
This initiative is part of Marqués de Murrieta’s ongoing commitment to social causes. On this occasion, the goal is to give another chance to those battling cancer every day, by supporting the successful research programs led by the CRIS Foundation.
A Historic Vintage
Each case in the collection contains three bottles of the 2020 vintage of Marqués de Murrieta—a vintage of great significance.
“One of the most emotional vintages in recent years; a vintage of survival, shaped by the challenges of COVID, and a clear example of Marqués de Murrieta’s unwavering commitment to quality,” says María Vargas, Technical Director of the winery.
