Awesome Parker scores for our albariños!

The last vintages of our two albariños, made in Pazo de Barrantes -Marqués de Murrieta’s winery in Rías Baixas- have got awesome Parker scores. After the specialised critic Luis Gutiérrez tasted them, he ensured “the Rías Baixas wines from Rioja’s Marqués de Murrieta have turned into some of the most reliable wines of the appellation”.

La Comtesse 2013: 93 points

“This is the best vintage of La Comtesse to date. The palate shows a brilliant combination of volume and freshness that make it very satisfying without being heavy, lifted by the acidity. If you want to combine Albariño and oak, this is how it should be done”.

Pazo Barrantes 2015: 90-91 points

“The nose is very expressive with grassy aromas and very balsamic, mixing bay leaf with waxy apples, a little minty, with hints of quince and some white pepper. It is evolving really nicely and gaining complexity”.
