For seven years in a row, Marqués de Murrieta has been the wine chosen for the Mutua Madrid Open 2017 competition, the most important tenis tournament in Spain. Year after year, they keep choosing the best asset from the best wines.
The first winery in Rioja, which is celebrating its 165 anniversary, has conquered at this edition all expectations, achieving a unique success in a tournament where sports, leisure and gastronomy meet.
For 10 days, all of the Club VIP guests from the tournament have been able to enjoy the wines from Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes winery. Among 60.000 people have come to the VIP área of the Mutua Madrid Open, where they have enjoyed the best food and the wines from the Best Winery in the World.
The guests not only enjoyed tenis and food: they lived a unique experience at the Marqués de Murrieta stand, where a ballon ride was waiting for them. Through its glasses, they were transfered to the winery and its 741 acres of vineyards.
A lot of VIP guests stopped by at our stand, such as Nieves Álvarez, Eugenia Martínez de Irujo and her brother Fernando, Nuria González or the princes of Brunei, among many others.
Marqués de Murrieta, besides its support to the tennis tournament, as a lot of presence in other sports. This weekend we have been supporting the Formula 1 at Montmeló, for the GP Tournament of Cataluña.
The best wines and the best sports meet again.
