This month, the world's leading wine experts have published their reports on DOCa Rioja, in which the new vintages of Marqués de Murrieta have stood out, surpassing their respective scores from previous years.
Luis Gutiérrez, the Spanish wine critic for The Wine Advocate (Robert Parker), has conducted a thorough review of the entire appellation, awarding outstanding scores to all the new vintages of Marqués de Murrieta:
- Castillo Ygay 2012 – 97 points
- Dalmau 2021 – 97 points
- Capellanía 2020 – 95 points
- Marqués de Murrieta 2021 – 95 points
- Marqués de Murrieta Gran Reserva 2018 – 95 points
- Primer Rosé 2023 – 93 points
Meanwhile, the prestigious critic Tim Atkin has once again placed the winery at the top of his 2025 Rioja Classification. The British Master of Wine has published a detailed analysis of Rioja, in which he not only tastes and scores more than 1,300 wines but also includes his traditional winery ranking for the entire appellation, based on qualitative parameters.
The English critic has also awarded excellent scores to the new vintages of Marqués de Murrieta:
