Marqués de Murrieta presents Spain’s most exclusive wine tourism experience

Marqués de Murrieta, the birthplace of Rioja and a global benchmark for fine wine, unveils a unique experience that stands as the most exclusive ever offered by a winery in Spain. Designed for wine, history, and gastronomy enthusiasts, this journey combines authenticity and sophistication in an incomparable setting.

Guests are welcomed with the possibility of arriving by helicopter or private jet to the historic 300-hectare Ygay Estate, located just minutes from Logroño, and surrounded by the breathtaking Rioja vineyards.

The itinerary continues with a private visit to the century-old vineyards and winemaking facilities, where legendary wines such as Castillo Ygay—named the best wine in the world—are born. Visitors will then enjoy privileged access to the winery’s museum, home to historic artifacts, one of the most extensive collections of vintage bottles in the world, and invaluable documents that tell the story of wine in Rioja and Spain.

The experience culminates in a private dining room at the 19th-century Ygay Castle, where a ten-course haute cuisine menu, created by the estate’s chef Miguel Narro, is paired with an exclusive selection of five of the winery’s most exceptional wines.

The gastronomic journey opens with the iconic Gosset Grande Réserve Champagne, crafted by the oldest maison in Champagne, and unfolds through creations that celebrate both product and technique—such as Carabinero Prawn Infused with Wine and Grilled Coral or Roasted Sayaguesa Sirloin over Mazuelo Vine Shoots.

The wine selection includes distinguished labels such as Capellanía, Gran Vino Pazo Barrantes, and the world-renowned Castillo Ygay, an icon of Spanish wine that has received the coveted 100 Parker Points on eight occasions.

“We have created something that goes far beyond wine: a transformative experience that represents all we are and all we aspire to share with the world—excellence, the pursuit of perfection, haute cuisine, and harmony with wine,” affirms Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, President of Marqués de Murrieta.

This groundbreaking experience is further enhanced by the winery’s renewed team: chef Miguel Narro, trained both at the estate and alongside acclaimed chef Francis Paniego, and Head Sommelier Roberto Ruiz de la Cuesta, who joins Marqués de Murrieta after working with the three-Michelin-starred Martín Berasategui.
