Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes, the two wineries forming the Marqués de Murrieta Estates & Wines group, have signed an agreement with Hijos de Rivera S.L, the company that includes brands such as Estrella Galicia or Cabreiroá, to distribute in an exclusive way their wines in Galicia.
This is what both companies told their sales teams, reunited in the impressive Pazo de Barrantes, where Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, Count of Creixel and President of Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes and Aitor Artaza, Head of National Distribution at Hijos de Rivera, made the formal agreement.
“It is an honour for Marqués de Murrieta’s wines, awarded Best Winery of the World 2015, to have the best travelling companion for its distribution”, said Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga during the event.
The Galician group will distribute from now on the wines from both wineries, those from the Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja, Marqués de Murrieta, and those from the Designation of Origin Rías Baixas, Pazo de Barrantes.
Both wineries complement each other, and together, they present a complete offer of premium quality wines: Castillo Ygay, Dalmau, Marqués de Murrieta and Capellanía are the unique labels from the Marqués de Murrieta winery. With them, we find Pazo Barrantes and La Comtesse, from Pazo de Barrantes, and included among the best Albariños of the world.
