In the 2017 edition of the Gourmets Guide, for which its tasting committee has tasted more than 4,320 wines blindly, Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes once again stand out among the greatest wineries for the quality of their wines.

The wines from the Rioja winery get magnificent scores: If Dalmau 2012 reaches the highest score with 99 points (the Gourmets Guide does not believe in the ’100′), Castillo Ygay 2007 gets 96 points, and Marqués de Murrieta 2011, 91. The white wine of the winery, Capellanía 2011, takes 90 points.

The two albariños of Pazo de Barrantes are also on top of the guide: La Comtesse 2013, with 96 points, and Pazo Barrantes 2015, with 93 points.
