2016 harvest comes to its end, and the quality of the vintage is incredible!
2016 harvest began on September 28th for the white grapes, and October 3rd for the red grapes. The delay of this harvest is motivated by the high temperatures in the months of July, August and September, and the lack of rainfall that caused the slowdown of ripening.
Later in, the temperatures softened causing an increase in the sugar content, albeit very slowly as well as an assimilation of the phenolic compounds and aromas.
The quality of the vintage is undeniable. Powerful wines, intense, long and thin that we’ll hace to see how they evolve over time and how they assimilate their ageing in oak.
